Meet Dr. Jay
Dr. Jay C. Woodward is a Maine native. Originally from Auburn, he graduated from Edward Little High School in 1979. After receiving his undergraduate B.S. degree in 1986 from the University of Utah, he moved to Georgia to complete his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in 1994. Upon his return to Maine, Dr. Jay opened his practice in the old Union train station on St. John Street in Portland, where he still practices today. A passionate lifelong student and voracious reader, Dr. Jay has continued his education with thousands of hours of additional training, seminars and collaboration with colleagues across the nation.
An avid skier and wind surfer, Dr. Jay loves the outdoors and brings that vitality to his practice. (Except on Fridays, of course, when you’ll find him on the slopes in the winter and enjoying time with his wife and two beautiful children in the summer!) Not to be pigeon-holed, Jay is also the ultimate tech geek. Show him the latest gadget and he transforms into an excited little boy ready to play with his new toy.
Perhaps because he enjoys life so much, many people experience an instant rapport with Dr. Jay, whose lightness and laughter are contagious.
